LOS ANGELES, California – September 26, 2014 –  Produce Services of Los Angeles, Inc. is proud to announce its partnership with Pitaya Plus.

Over the past decade, in a very competitive foodservice landscape, the quick serve juice bar/cafe has gained a foot hold and picked up steam.  As this growing market has evolved, many consumers have become more educated and are demanding raw organic fruit and vegetable options on the menu.

Many juice bar owners have realized that in order to stay successful, their businesses must evolve.  One interesting phenomenon within the juice bar segment is the “bowl.” You may have seen these at you local juice bar.  It’s a frozen fruit concoction topped with a menagerie of healthy ingredients that can include such exotic toppings as hemp seeds, goji berries, and just about anything else you can imagine.   Up until recently, the only option when you go in to your favorite juice bar has been an acai bowl.

That is where Pitaya Plus comes in!  Pitaya Plus is the leading producer/importer of Organic Pitaya (Dragon Fruit) smoothie packs and other pitaya based products in the United States.  As with the acai bowl before it, the pitaya (dragon fruit) bowl is becoming the “go to” healthy option at many juice bars.

Although the bright pink color of the bowl is beautiful and intriguing, the beauty of the Pitaya Plus product is in its simplicity.  Each packet has one ingredient…  Organic pitaya!  Add to that the fact that it is raw and you have the basis for a guiltless treat created in healthy heaven.

Produce Services of Los Angeles, Inc. is proud to welcome Pitaya Plus as a partner and excited to be distributing pitaya AKA dragon fruit throughout Southern California along with our full line of fresh and frozen wholesale fruits and vegetables.
